Post new project maybe....
i started playing with openwrt last night. some of you may remember the last "router" i built. this one

http://sergeinc.no-ip.org/host/x86router/DSCF4159.JPG

well, now that i'm playing with open wrt, i'm looking at building something a little better. though i've been pondering something better for a little while since i built the last one. but now i've been eye balling one of these.

http://www.bcmcom.com/bcm_product_mx945gse3.htm

i like the idea of a CF card reader being built in, and the mini pci-e for a wireless card would be nice. as well as the sata ports, i'm thinking it would make a decent router/openvpn server/storage/etc

seems like a fun toy, if i can find the board somewhere. considering i still have more of those rackmount chassis' with psu's

openwrt > dd-wrt

nuff said

got an x86 build of openwrt running last night, far more flexible than dd-wrt x86. though its more of a linux distribution aimed at being used for a router/firewall/anything really. i'm still running it on a test setup, but its sweet

that could very well do it. the only thing is, i see mention of a mini-pcie onboard, but i don't see the slot. and i wonder whether it takes so-dimm ddr2 or ddr3, i have lots of ddr2 that size.

whats the lowest wattage am3 chip available?

Though I believe they charge a premium for it.

Not sure if the board is out quite yet. I'm assuming it was launched at Computex last week.

And the only so-called low-power chips I've seen are like the 235e and stuff, but that's 45W.
