Placed my order last night for the Dell U3415w.

just had to get ahead of me eh :P

I've been looking at that Samsung monitor I posted about the other day, but that dell is the same specs.

I wonder who the OEM manufacturer is behind that Dell logo?

Dell is IPS, thus it's LG.

I managed to get it for $1223 taxes-in, so about $255 savings on a brand new product :)

And I might seriously have to get SLI'd GTX980's now too

Post Re: Dell U3415w
you just might need some SLI 980's for sure.

Last night I almost considered financing a pair of these Dell monitors for 12 months just to spread out the lump sum a little, but then, I was at the last stage of the check out last night, ready to give them my money, and of course they only had the 24 month finance option when I want 12, because I can afford it, but I'd like to span it out, and not pay the exorbitant amount of interest over 24 months. But they make you wait while they approve you, and I'd have to call or chat with someone to get anything useful, and naturally I chose the chat option because I spend enough time on the phone with people I don't care to talk to at work all day, and of course I didn't get anything useful from the person via chat. So I gave up right there. I have a chat log in my email now, it gives me a migraine just thinking about the chat agents horrible english.

I think I'm going to just hold off and see what else comes available and gauge my options from there. I'm kind of caught up on the Samsung, but there aren't many options out there right now in this class so I think it's a little early to make a concrete decision

Well it arrived today!

Here's some quick shots, haven't touched any settings yet, just unpacked and plugged in.

There seems to be some backlight bleed in the upper corners that I noticed on all-black screens, though I don't seem to notice it while playing games. Maybe turning down the brightness will help too.

CS:GO and Far Cry have some issues scaling the menu/HUD elements, but largely work.

hmmm, I'm still tempted to finance a pair and have one for each of my desktops, just so I don't have to spend the lump sum at once. I wonder if they'd give me the same price. How did you swindle that deal anyway?

hahaha.. yeah... it's getting colder and colder in the forum.. instead of creating a new thread, i just high jacked one. :)

that is my new car, got it for myself just right before Christmas, along with the monitor. the old SRT V8 was starting to have electrical issues, even tho mechanically it's sound. i was putting money into parts and still couldn't figure out the problem. so it was turning into a money pit.

the bumble bee should tie me over until i get the C7 Stingray. which hopefully should be in the next two years. so far i installed the rear ZL1 spoiler myself, painted the front chin facia, and had the shop installed the front splitter. i'll be adding some 20 inch black wheels later on. wife bought me a floor jack for christmas so i could work under the car. Although i kinda like the classic muscle car look of the stock 18s.

i was kinda upset that the gas price plummeted right after i sold the old V8 :x

I paid $1.59 gal this morning . I believe it was the 90s since it was that cheap. Did Jed Clampett hit another gusher?

i actually could. but then i would have no money for my other toys. gotta have a balance between all my toys.

i was actually standing right on the lot and almost pulled the trigger on a 2009 M3.

i am saving up now for a C7. the bee will tie me over for now. it's a fun car to drive, definitely more toss-able than the 4 door V8.
