Yup, these look like 110% the monitor refresh I've been holding off for

http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/05/sams ... d-monitor/

3,440 x 1,440 screen resolution, 34" display making it 32" wide which would replace each pair of 20" viewsonic vp2030b I'm still currently running, without taking up a ton more space, and offer me more pixels on each axis since I'm essentially running 3200x1200 on each of my systems. Yes, definitely what I've been looking for

now where do I buy them in Canada

LG is making one too though with an IPS panel and another version with FreeSync support.

But yes, I agree, this year is the 34" curved ultra-wide monitor year. I've had my U2711 for too long now!

Man, my viewsonics are old, but every time I look at newer widescreen monitors, the pixel vs price ratio just doesn't seem worth it to me. I could replace my 2 1600x1200 monitors with a pair of 1920x1080 monitors but it just seems like a compromise to me rather than an upgrade since I would lose out on the height. I work on a pair of "1080p" monitors at work and it bugs the crap out of me every day.

I'm really thinking this could be the year that I finally look at new monitors so I'm keeping an eye out. I think I did see the LG, but I'm not big on LG honestly. I have a few friends that have had LG monitors in the last couple years and if they didn't die within warranty, they died right outside which is just annoying
