Post HDMI cables....what's up with that?
I have never seen so much of one type of item with such a varying degree of pricing. Take your choice, over here you have a 6 footer for $12.99 and right next to it another 6ft for $169.99. Somebody toss me some arm floaties before I drown in the nonsense.
ok that was fun, now here's what I have. I need cables that run from both my Blueray and ATT box to my AMP/Receiver, then the single HDMI to my TV. Do I need the HDMI 1.4 with internet capability or will the 1.3 suffice? Keep in mind my TV is 3D as well as the Blu-ray player and the cables will need to be 3D compatable. And do I need to spend a whole lot on them?

As far as I know HDMI 1.4 is the first version that requires 3D compatibility. That doesn't mean you won't find 1.3 or older cables that support it. Some cable manufacturers add those additional features even though they aren't required. I would search for the cheapest available 1.4 cables, or 1.3 cables that specifically mentioned 3D support.

Ok I found some nice cables pretty cheap at Frys. I had to have them immediately. HDMI 1.4 and I got it all hooked up but dam...this Denon AVR 1612 is giving me fits. My Denon AVR 590 Audyssey setup was a breeze but this one more of a headache. It goes through the setup just fine and I save the setting but it only plays in Stereo. not 5.1
It detects all speakers and sub, the I hit "store" at the end of the setup but like I say it displays "Stereo" on the front. I have ran it 4 times, read up on the manual all day.

Phew. What a finicky receiver. Even though it's identical in appearance to the AVR 590 it's quite an upgrade as far as features and configuring. Figured it out after running Audyssey setup again.
The Blu-ray sound and picture quality is awesome on the LG.
