Post Help with a Netbook
Sigh...As much as I dont like them. My Wife and daughter need one when they go to Cancun in 2 weeks mainly to use Skype. Our Laptops are too bulky and a netbook seems ideal "as far as size".
What would you suggest?
maybe something like this?

Why not get the cheapest one? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gateway+-+N ... Id=2738738

They're all the same really...

Or if you want to buy for the long-term, maybe grab an Ultrabook? Or an Android tablet?

I guess thats good enough for them. What if any, is the draw backs to W7 starter? And could I. or would I want to, install W7 on it if I ever wanted? Or even need to

Post Re: Help with a Netbook
Just remember that netbooks are dumbed-down laptops. They come with enough RAM to make the OS work. They don't have DVD/CD players. And depending on the maker, they can be susceptible to easy damage. A customer of mine brought to me an Acer netbook that she had spilled a "little" water on it. It was fried!!! I'm sure that could easily happen to a more expensive laptop, but nonetheless, I believe netbooks are an accident waiting to happen.

Go get on the tablet bandwagon ... it's the future! :geek:

No Aero, no multitasking, but really shouldn't matter.

You can easily put whatever version of Windows 7 on it that you want, or Linux ;) Skype runs on basically everything these days.
