@Avid, wow, MSI, that's awesome. its poorly translated to english, but they really try to hold on to customers. if that's a bribe for your silence, i advise you TAKE THE DEAL

@Bam, let us know about that Macbook pro, what model, specs, etc, and do i need to say, PICTURES OR BAM (pun intended)

i'm actually half pondering a macbook, but i need a quad core, and 8gb ram for what i want to do, so that asus laptop looks like a good candidate

Post Re: Beware of HP online store
Nice choice BAM. Which MacBook did you get? Right now I have a company laptop so I sold my Dell XPS laptop I had about a year ago. If I were to move on to a new company and had to get a personal laptop again, it would probably be a Macbook Pro. While the lack of a user replaceable battery is upsetting, the good looks, great support, and physical Apple Store access makes it a win for me. I even find OS X to be decent and would probably run the notebook in a dual boot configuration.

And yeah, MSI went above and beyond. Given that my future hardware purchases are going to be based on "K" series processors and cheaper motherboards (no need to an expensive board for a stock base clock) I'll have to buy a few MSI boards to at least give them a chance. It's the least I can do given what they've offered me. I'm also going to update my 8 year old threads bashing them to post the new results. Eight years late is better than never!
