Post copper mod
so I gave my m1330 to my older sister a while ago and last month it decided to die. Its got the 8400gs nvidia graphics which are known to boil to death because of cheap cooling design. Well I decided to replace the motherboard and do a famous copper mod. Here's a few pictures I took.

The hardest part was finding a piece of copper and getting it ready. Found a 1 in round copper piece and had to use my automotive skills to get it 14x14mm. Sanding the copper down to a smooth surface left me with no finger prints for a few days. GPU temps now are high 50s to low 60s which is say is pretty good considering how it was before. Fan also doesn't spin 24/7 trying to cool that thing off.
