Post Re: Cosmos II
Thanks guys! As for reservoir pictures, it's partially in these shots, but I can take more if you want AK since I didn't see your post until after I shot the photos.

Only the bottom hot-swap bay is actually connected and functional. The top one isn't since I have no more SATA ports. Not a big deal though since I don't suspect I'll ever need 2 hot-swap drives. It's more just if I need to quickly test a drive.

I wish CM would of provided an adapter to connect to their special 2pin LED connector to provide a standard molex connection. Their connector provides 12V so there is no reason it wouldn't be feasible. Instead I had to cut the wires and splice in my Phobya LED strips.

No issues getting all the wires tucked in behind the motherboard. Obviously it would of been marginally easier if I didn't have my radiator and fans in the bottom chamber though as wires could have been tucked away in there. Once I actually hookup everything, I'll take a picture (it's a bit messy though!).

If I remember, I'll attempt to weigh this beast tomorrow. It's pretty difficult to move now though, but then again I'm by no means a muscular person.

Future Ideas:
- Get a slim 240, 280, or 360 radiator to install up top and then separate the GPU and CPU into their own loops.
- SLI/Crossfire GPUs, watercooled of course. Likely wait until Kepler before making any decisions.
- E-ATX or XL-ATX LGA2011 motherboard, so it better fills the space.
- A window. I don't want to personally cut the panels, maybe pay somebody else to do so. However I'm mainly hoping that CM will release a windowed panel themselves like they did with the previous Cosmos.

Future Problems:
- Any larger of a PSU is going to have issues, unless I mount it with the fan facing up so that the cables have space to bend and connect. It would likely still be a very tight fit. I'll likely end up having to put a smaller radiator in the bottom and sell my SR1. Alternatively, I somehow "extend" the PSU bracket out further so that the PSU sits outside of the case more.

New Parts:
1x Phobya LED-Flexlight 30cm - One up top and one in the middle plate. Hard-wired into the case-integrated fan/LED controller so I have a button up top to turn on/off the LEDs.
2x Phobya LED Ready Twin 3mm Ultra-Bright UV - for the reservoir
2x Gentle Typhoon AP-1450 120mm - in the side-fan-caddy
1x Noiseblocker Black Silent Fan XK2 140mm
5x Bitfenix Alchemy Premium Sleeved SATA Cables
2x Bitfenix Alchemy Premium Sleeved Internal USB Extension Cable
4x DarkSide Single Braid Cables (ATX, EPS12V, PCI-E 6pin & 8pin)
1x DarkSide Front Panel I/O connection kit
1x Primochill Primoflex Pro LRT UV Blue 3/8ID 5/8OD
Various Bitspower fittings

Existing Parts:
Koolance RP-402X2 Reservoir
Swiftech DDC-35X (in use) and Laing DDC3.25 (for later use perhaps)
Heatkiller 3.0 Nickel-plated CPU block
EK FC580 Nickel + Acetal GPU block
HWLabs SR-1 360 Radiator
3x Gentle Typhoon AP-1450 - on the radiator
Various Bitspower fittings
Phobya LED-Flexlight 30cm

Hardware:
i7 920 @ 4.2GHz
ASUS P6TD Deluxe
6x2GB Mushkin DDR3-1600 Blackline (7-8-7-20)
EVGA GTX580 1536MB SC
Auzentech Bravura
OCZ Vertex 2 120GB
4x Samsung F3 1TB (RAID10 via ICH10R)

Total Cost:
NCIX +$103.38
NCIX -$100.00 (gift card!)
P-PCs +$114.79
P-PCS +$96.98
Case +$350
Total: $565.15......having a case that will fit any future upgrade: Priceless!

And here we go with the barrage of pictures!

Very nice JD!!

I wanted to see your res/pump from the inside and how you mounted it. It looks like a dual-bay, dual reservoir, right?

Yup, dual-bay, dual-pump. Reservoir can be shared or separated.

Kind of hard to get my camera in there and focus it, so this will have to do :P

Love that blue. Odd how cameras pick it up as purple

Blue and Purple, Red and Orange. Both very difficult to capture correctly IMO.

Although it can look purple in direct sunlight too with your actual eyes.

Post Re: Cosmos II
I think I can consider it finally finished!

Sadly it looks like some of the UV LED's in my reservoir are burning out since they aren't very bright. At the same time though, Feser UV Orange fluid is rather disappointing. It's definitely not very orange at all. It's more of a yellow/green colour IMO. At least the orange tubing is more true-to-life.

As you may notice, I replaced that little piece of blue tube with orange. I ended up having to drain everything yet again since it wasn't bleeding. 3rd time was a charm.

Although having two loops, each with 360 radiators for a single CPU and GPU is absolute overkill, I think the end results look quite nice. I think next time though I might do the GPU loop in orange and the CPU loop in blue. I'm kind of tired of blue now and definitely prefer how orange looks under UV.

I'll likely swap out the bottom radiator (SR1-360) to a 240 variant in the future too so that I can fit a bigger PSU in there. I may end up going X79/SLI but I think I'll wait for Ivy-E.

Wow...looks nice. You've always had a good looking rig. Now that's it's finished and you've spent all this money on a case and additional cooling, where are the benchmarks?

The parts for my 2012 upgrade start arriving today.

I'm getting old...the open tech station goes away and the hardware goes into a case, and it's 100% air cooled.

what kind brand/model of reservoir is that? it's a reservoir/pump combo right? that looks like a nice way to consolidate the two. i hate having my pump sitting at the bottom and having to route it up to the reservoir, creates a lot of tubing highway.

Benchmarks are the same as they've always been...

Honestly I think I'm becoming more of a hardware whore than anything else. I like shiny new things, but when it comes to raw numbers, I'm not concerned too much.

I was going to buy LGA2011 initially, but now I've decided to wait until Ivy Bridge-E at the very least. The cost just couldn't justify the means.

And that's a Koolance RP-402X2 w/ dual Swiftech DDC-35X controlled via PWM. Basically have them running at minimum speed for the most part and they ramp up if things get too hot.

so it's not a all-in-one reservoir/pump combo then? so you have the pump and reservoir looped in a serie?

It's all-in-one, and they're separate loops otherwise I couldn't have 2 colours! :P

If and when I find a wife, I'm sure she'll want many shiny things which cost far more than my shiny things

All the contractors at work are pushing me to leave and take up this other (possible) opportunity even though I've only been there for about a month. I think I'll give in and at least apply and see what happens. It should pay a fair bit better and is a full time position so I'll have all the various benefits (YAY for sick days, paid vacation, dental/health, maybe even a pension). Plus it's at a bank which should have better job security. If it works out, then maybe I'll succumb and buy LGA2011

can you help me understand.. because i looked up both the reservoir and the pump... it looks like they're separate. how can they be together all in one. do you have a picture?

The pumps mount into the side of the reservoir which you have to do yourself.

Sadly I have no photos of it...
