That looks quite fine.

Though unless you plan to do some serious overclocking (lack of watercooling makes me think no?) then you don't really need the Rampage IV Extreme. There's cheaper models that would perform just the same.

As for graphics, ATI has some new stuff in the pipeline come January. Not sure if it'll be a true launch or just a paper launch though. Might be worth waiting if you can. Some Z68 motherboards have video output that would work for basic usage. If you need to buy now though, I'd say GTX560 or GTX570.

A couple issues with your component list:

Rampage IV Extreme - LGA2011
Maximus IV Extreme - LGA1155

Based on the 2600k processor you chose, I'm guessing you meant to list the Maximus.

You also listed a 64GB memory kit. The Maximus only supports 32GB. What are you doing that requires so much memory?

As for a video card suggestion, it really depends on what you're doing with the machine and what types of games you play.

lol guess I ought to read things more carefully ;)

Alternatively, could swap the CPU to the i7 39370K and keep the rest!

But yeah, 64GB is likely overkill. 32GB wouldn't be so bad, and the bare minimum would be 16GB IMO.

zabzz ... welcome to The Computer Cabin forums.

I am currently building a few rigs for customers and one build includes the EVGA GTX 560 Ti Superclocked video card. So far, I am liking it. $229 after $20 MIR ... can't go wrong :handgestures-thumbup:

Well in that case, since it sounds like your going all out, I'd strongly recommend waiting a few months to see what the new GPU's yield. You could buy a 560Ti to use temporarily though since it's fairly cheap.

Also, better steppings of the LGA2011 CPUs are due out in Q1 2012, so I'd say wait for those too. They fix some of the errata that exists in the current CPUs.

AMD's new high end GPUs look to be very interesting...time to switch back to the Red Team?

Nothing too interesting on the CPU front until Ivy Bridge.
