Post Anyone excited about the iPhone 4G?
It's been a ritual for me every year to get the latest and greatest, iPhone! Let's hope June 7th doesn't disappoint!

Anyone here buying it the first day or did you make a mistake and jump on the android wagon? ;)

I am still stuck with my old school Samsung Blackjack II ... and I don't even use it to its full capabilities because I'm too cheap to pay for Internet services ... which BTW, is an additional $30 a mo for each smartphone on my plan!! ***Frickin*** AT&T!!! I wish we could get Sprint up here in Alaska ... :angry-fire:

My daughter had to have the latest and greatest phone, one that could text and do pics and all that good stuff. I "had" to let her have it ... BTW, Comixion, how old is your daughter? Mine is 26 ...

Wowzers!! I'm only 27yo! (turned 27 in April).

Anyway, iPhone plans are definitely not bank account-friendly... Even with my corporate discount of 8% (recently changed from a ridiculous 3%), my monthly payments for an individual plan is $85+...

Google is coming up though via Android o/s-based phones. Hopefully, more competition in the market drives the prices down...though I don't see that happening anytime soon. :/

I'm very happy with my 3Gs, and am considering a jump to the 4G. I'll have to wait and see how much of an upgrade it is. The screen alone should make it worth it.

Same, though this edition looks a little too blocky vs the previous versions. My plan ends in december, so i might end up waiting for the 4g refresh.

Unless ATT lets me out of my contract before 2 years is up I'll be sticking with my 3GS.

You could probably just unlock and ebay the phone, break your contract, and still make money off that deal.

My two year contract was up like a few months ago. But up here in God's Country, there's only two wireless phone providers ... AT&T and ACS (Alaska Communications Systems) Both are fighting each other for customer revenue and never really give the customer what they really want. GRRRrrr!! :angry-cussing: Sprint was planning on expanding here in Alaska a few years ago, but it never happened. The Sprint 4G phone that was revealed during the NASCAR All-Star Race Saturday night looked pretty cool ... but that won't help me one friggin bit!

I've been upgrading since the first gen model. Honestly, the 3GS with the OS4 should suffice almost all average users since it'll be able to make full use of the added features, i.e. multitasking. Now, if you're still on the 2nd or first gen...then it might be a good time to upgrade for sure, ha!

AT&T's cancellation policy is better than Verizon's. At least with AT&T, you can deduct $5 for every month you maintained service under the term.
