 Steam collectable card game!
Hi guys,

So I'm not sure how many of you have been playing around with the Collectable Card Game system inside steam. But it's really interesting what they've done with it. For those of you who are thinking "Why would I play this card game?" Here's why.

Quote:
What do I get when I craft a badge from my Trading Cards?
In addition to getting the Game Badge itself, you'll get:
a random emoticon item created for this game, that can use in chat or discussions;
a random profile background item created for this game, that can use on your Steam Community profile
a chance to get a discount coupon for a different game or DLC
100XP, which may increase your Steam Level

More Info: http://steamcommunity.com/tradingcards/faq/

I've built a few decks and 1 of the coupons I got was 90% off Serious Sam 3 (Which I used). The coupons are also tradable just like the cards themselves.

If anyone wants any of my coupons, these I'm not interested in: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656 ... ory/#753_3

If anyone wants to trade some cards with me, here's what I have currently: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656 ... ory/#753_6

Just got a KSP booster pack which contained a foil card. That 1 foil card is going for around $1 on the market place. Must be pretty rare.

Pretty much everything is clearly known except the foil drop rate, but I assume it is more likely from booster than by gaming. I did get one yesterday and sold it for 2 euros :mrgreen:

I wish the foils did something more than just being rare. Like gave better perks for crafting a foil deck.

Worst about the foils is they only grant 100 xp. And just once at that too :evil:

Yeah, I'm also curious why some decks require more cards if they are all worth the same. Seems like Valve could have had a little more fun with this.
