i am waiting for BF4 to officially release to determin if and when i want to upgrade. consider mentle's december release, not sure how much that'll alleviate the CPU bottleneck. if Mentle can make the game run without a CPU upgrade, and put more responsibility on my HD7950, i am all for holding out longer.

so they must did something over the last few days. cause i saw a few subsequent updates for the beta, and now the game finally runs without lag. surprisingly, the 5+ yr old CPU can still keep it running at 30~40fps at 2500x1440 res on the HIGH preset. but when the giant building collapses, the game still laggs. and the HD7970 is still hovering at 50% utilization throughout the game. either case, i think i'll upgrade the CPU this black friday anyway.

Black Friday sux donkey balls.
I battled it the past 2 years and went through pure hell. People..I found out...are really retarded and are quite child like. Grown people acting like 12 yr olds... Especially when you are battling amongst the low class "deal" hunters. Never again.

it's hard for ME to judge, consider my rig isn't exactly up to the task. i think you should ask Greg. he's getting a pretty smooth frame rate overall. he might be able to give you a better objective feedback.
