It's a rather major upgrade. I would definitely back things up to be safe.

absolutely backup for that upgrade. Gingerbread to Jelly bean is a really major upgrade

You're probably in for a bit of a shock after the upgrade, but I've been running Jelly bean for so long, going back to Gingerbread would be like going back to windows 2000 now

And I think he means Ice Cream Sandwich to Jellybean. I don't think the Note ever shipped with Gingerbread, only the original Galaxy S did.

Only issue is I cant manipulate my browser settings. I want it to open on a certain home page each time I access but it always opens on the last page I visited. Even after I completely exit the browser and no application of it running. That option was in the old SW but I cant find it now.

I can't say i've noticed that with the default browser since I tend to delete it from my phone and install chrome. I just checked chrome though and there' doesn't seem to be a way to set a "home" page either though. It's not really something that's ever bothered me

I'm so happy the last few days though, there's finally been a functional kernel released for my phone to work with newer ics/jb roms, so the 3rd party roms have been getting updated, and cyanogenmod 9/10 is on it's way to being fully functional again. no thanks to motorolla for leaving my dualcore superphone behind with gingerbread

Love my atrix though, the fingerprint swipe to unlock is just such a thing of beauty, I can't give it up until i find another phone with that feature. The face unlock is just crap

Didnt realize you could install chrome on your phone.

And thats what i dont like. No way to set a home page. Each time I open the browser it goes to the last page i visited.

How about Firefox? Opera? Dolphin? Those are the other major ones I can think of.

What home page do you want anyways? Google? If so, just use the native Google Now instead of the browser.
