not sure why, but I'm in the same boat as you. I have a msdn windows 8 key and i'm tempted to upgrade. Everyone seems to say that I should stick to win 7. I'm so lost!!

Most likely going to reinstall. It has been a few years since I reinstalled the OS. I still remember the days of xp when a reinstall every year was a norm. Even better, the days of Win ME where it was only weeks.

Now there's a horror story.

I normaly reinstall every year. And I just did last month. And was thinking of W8 just as I was doing it but didnt pull the trigger. But for the last month I have been playing with it on a laptop and getting used to it I suppose. But shelling out $200 for SW, any SW, just isnt the norm for me.

Unless you need the features in Pro (namely the ability to join a domain), just get the regular edition.

If you have a Windows 8 key, 8.1 is free.
