Post KB issue
I bought a Corsair K65 KB , this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6823816015 ..and I really like its shorter design to give me more room for my mouse and the lighting designs on it are pretty cool and the red is true red, but my issue is when running an older game such as Nascar Racing 2002 it wont let me assign keys. Any key at all. Whenever I press a key the game console will pop up "this key cannot be assigned". BF3 and other games work fine. Normal typing is fine. I tried it with my G15 and it works.
Another thing is I cannot boot from CD when prompted to "press any key to boot from CD".
I tried looking this up but found nothing.

Could it be the lack of Numpad buggering it up? I know the BIOS has an option for turning on Numlock and maybe that's what old games check for too.

is the g15 usb or ps2? might be one of those issues. I always have a ps2 keyboard as a backup, cause sometimes it won't go into bios. Doesn't recognize usb.

Ya know. Thats make sense. I been trying several things with no resolve. I may pick up the K95 if only to stop having to switch KBs between games.

does the K65 have LED backlight for the keys?

i really like my Razer Blackwidow Tournament (shorter version without the numpad). but i just wish the keys would light up like my regular Full Length Blackwidow at home.

i also find myself surprisingly like both the Brown switch and the Blue Switch. i know they're completely different, but find myself liking them both. they each have their own distinctive tactile feedback.

Yes it lights up. Much better than my g15. And you can program the colors and motions.
The lack of a numpad makes it perfect for space. I kept bumping the G15 when gaming. However the dam thing wont work with Nascar 2002 and i cant figure it out. Sheesh
