Post NZXT Sentry LX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

I pulled it.
The one thing I don't like about it is you cannot get the maximum RPM's out the fans. Fans that are rated for 2000rpm will max out at only 1700rpm. Fans rated at 1000rpm max at 600-800rpm etc. This has been a problem with it from others as well.
I'm going with something more simple.

All fan controllers do this as they don't have 100% efficiency so 12V in doesn't mean 12V out. Some of the voltage is loss to heat, powering the circuity and LCD screen, etc.

Unless it steps up the voltage to 13V or so, you won't get a full 12V for your fans.

With the NZXT said to have only 5 watts per channel and the Lamptron stating to have 30 watts per, I;m assuming this would fix the issue?

Not at all. Though the whole point of a fan controller is to run at less than 12V anyways to make your fans quiet

i used to use fan controllers a lot, but later disposed them because now adays you can pretty much control them through the motherboard and set it up automatically. they just take up too much space and god i hate the wiring mess it creates.

Unless of course you like to sleeve your wiring ... then it's not so bad! :ugeek:
