Post Need recommendations on 120mm case fans.
I'm thinking about replacing my stock case fans on the Cosmos 1000. Any suggestions for someone who's looking for silent operation? Although silence is preferred, I definitely want to make sure I'm getting the best airflow.

I'm looking at all the 120mm cases listed at amazon.com, but don't know what to look for other than the obvious titles of "silent". Oh, and no LED-lit fans. No need for them since the cosmos 1000 is designed for minimalists.

I would go with Noctua or Gentle Typhoons.

I think I'll go with the Noctua brand. Hmmm...just wondering if there is a way to check my case fan rpm's so I can compare it to the ones I'm planning to get. Is there a way?

I love the Noctuas design as far as function. I just have to get past the cream blades.

Plug them into your motherboard headers?

Noiseblockers, they come at 1200RPM and 2000RPM I believe.

I'm thinking about getting this: Noctua NF-S12B FLX - Case fan - 120 mm

http://www.amazon.com/NF-S12B-FLX-Setti ... 806&sr=8-4

Think it's a good choice ?

Dtech ... you can't go wrong with the Noctua brand of coolers or fans. I have used Noctua fans since they first came out. I also like the Silverstone Air Penetrator 120mm case fans. :handgestures-thumbup:

AP's are a bit noisy compared to Noctua's though...
