Post Swiftech Apogee detachable plate?
I'm to the point of installing my compression fittings onto the cpu wb and read this:

The coolant inlet is identified by a detachable plate (XT version only). It is factory installed in it's optimum position. i.e. at the center of the block. but it can also be rotated 180 degrees to allow the installation of large compression fittings. Some thermal and hydraulic degredation is inevitable when the plate is rotated.
is this an issue? and if so should I use the fittings and clamps that came with it?

See if your compressions fit firstly.

If not, I'd say rotate the plate. I'm sure the performance impact isn't THAT significant.

I decided against rotating the plate and didn't use compressions on the cpu wb.
