Post Need WC advice
Ok so little maintenance due soon? I'm trying to remember how long my pump has been running and gonna guess a year. So what is the life span on your average pump? This one in particular http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swmc12vdcpuw.html I don't want to believe what I read And I was thinking if she decides to poop out overnight or anytime. I'm assuming the CPU is fried? I mean you can't babysit these things and there is no fail safe shut off. I'm considering just buying a new one for piece of mind. A pump is cheaper than cpu. And especially a GPU once I get a WB. opinions?

Your PC should shutdown when the CPU overheats (aka goes over 95C). Pumps should last the same amount of time a typical case fan does. Obviously there's always random failures, but what can you do? It should be good for at least 25,000 hours.
