Post Yay Boxes!
So since I'm back to work, the buying has commenced!

The stars aligned apparently and everything showed up today. As you can see, I got all the necessary parts to split my loop into two. The GPU and CPU will be separated now. And to change up the colour, I went for orange to contrast my existing blue. Should look pretty nice, especially with my split reservoir

However! I'm still debating LGA2011, so I won't be installing anything for now...

Must be nice to drop that kind of money on hardware! :D

Everything looks great...it's going to be one hell of a nice looking rig.

I've done the same...I remember killed an AMD FX-51 by breaking a pin off and not really caring because I could just go pick up a new one...to live home again making good money and having no bills.

Thank you for making me not feel bad about my choices

enjoy while you can.... i miss college. room, board, food all paid for.. all i had to worry about was write a couple papers, partying, grinding at the club... and buying new hardware...

i remember buying a AthlonXP and didn't overclock as well as i wanted... so i got another one.

pretty soon the time value of money will catch on with your life... that's when you get to spend all your days staring at your money and knowing you can't spend it.

Well I decided to start working on it this afternoon and into the night. It would have been finished by now, but I got myself into a slight issue...

Basically I filled the new loop with distilled just to leak test and rinse out the new parts, however it seems I've managed to get it waterlogged, meaning that it's (seemingly) impossible to get the water out of the reservoir. I think my last attempt will be to lift it up and get the res as the lowest point and hopefully it'll drain out of the front port. Going to need to get some extra hands though!

Anyways, I drilled out the holes a bit so that I could screw the 3rd fan in properly (the front-most one). The top panel kind of covers the fan but there's a fair amount of space between the fan and the panel.

I was hoping the radiator and reservoir would of lined up straight, but sadly they did not. I bought a BP Crystal Link Tube kit which basically is just an acrylic tube with 2 push-fittings at either end. Since it wasn't a straight connection as originally hoped, I ended up hitting it with a heat gun until it got soft enough to push the reservoir into place. Definitely not the most ideal and likely a bit restrictive since it didn't bend uniformly. I will surely need to revise this next time around. Any suggestions?

seems like they address most of the kinks i ran into with Cosmos S, where i ended up having to self mod a lot of things.

Maybe, but it has it's own issues. Namely the fact that you cannot fit a "thick" 360 radiator up top, only the "slim" ones fit. I believe the Cosmos S had a lot more space up top, but I guess it lacked any space in the bottom. The Cosmos S looks damn small though compared to the Cosmos II.

Got everything up and running though and it's bleeding now. Seems to be taking quite some time though, but whatever.

I should of used a piece of orange tube to keep things consistent, but I had a perfect sized piece of blue just lying around so I used it instead. Still an extremely tight fit though.

for the longest time i thought of upgrading to dual row 360 rad for the top... i think it'll JUST fit. i don't know what the clearance difference is between your and mine. but even single row still leaves a lot of space up top for me.

I have about 50mm of space, plus about 30mm outside of the case but under the plastic cover.

That's it for now ;) I was contemplating X79, but decided to hold off.

Loop is currently bleeding and I'll take some final pictures once I clean up the case.
