Post Re: AMD BULLDOZER (zambezi) OFFICIAL REVIEWS
I've been reading some comparisons between the FX-8150, also compared with i7 2600k. Also it bothered me that many test setups were using Nvidia cards.

What is very interesting is that sometimes the bulldozer performance is better with higher resolution. At 2560x1600 they perform equal or the AMD slightly faster. Don't know who has such a screen however. Unfortunatly there are times even then that the AMD doesn't get half of the performance the i7 does.

I only hope it will run skyrim damn well.

That's because as the resolution increases, the reliance on the CPU becomes less and more on the GPU.

When benchmarking CPUs, if they're going to use games, it should be done at a low resolution so that the game is relying mainly on the CPU. That's why in 3DMark, the CPU graphic tests are always extremely low resolution and look terrible.

The real release didn't make it in time for BF3 if they don't make it in Skyrim no one will bother anyhow.
I just bought a cheap x4, i should have it friday won't make much difference for now anyway.

This is no way to mess with the public or customers anymore, I sincerely hope they will go bankrupt.
