why the carpet under the chair? I thought chairs need something smooth under for ease of rolling.

i got the carpet because over the years, the chair's wheels scraped the hardwood floor so bad that the floor's coating started to turn. it put a dent in my heart. so i went to Ikea and got those carpet. it's more to protect the floor.

Pretty sure the SB-E and IB-E chips do. You have to remember, the chip you bought is a consumer part, it's not technically made for what you want it to do :P

all sandys are soldered. Ivys are not. it has nothing to do with consume vs enterprise. question is what will the future bring.

Edit: never mind, Ivy-e is soldered. but regular sandy is soldered as well.
